FREE Mouth Guards!

Athletes ages 5 and older, including those who wear braces can have a free, customized mouth guard made for them during the School of Dentistry’s annual Mouth Guard Clinic on July 28! Registration is from 8 am – 10:30 am on the second floor of the School of Dentistry, 1011 N. University Ave. A parent or guardian must accompany children younger than 18.

Note that is offer is limited to the first 120 athletes. Parking is free in the Fletcher Street parking ramp on the north side of the School of Dentistry. UM Mens Basketball: FREE Selfie Night

The University of Michigan men’s basketball team will host open practice and selfie night on Tuesday, 10/24/17, at Crisler Center. Following the practice session, U-M head coach John Beilein and the Wolverine players will be available for a “Selfie Night” promotion on the concourse level. Coach Beilein, the men’s team and selected women’s players will meet and greet fans and be available for photos and selfies.

All parking surrounding Crisler Center will be free after 5 pm and fans can enter through the northeast entrance of Crisler Center beginning at 5:30 pm. The selfie night schedule is as follows:

6:50 pm – Skills Session
7:00 pm – Selfies with players on the concourse
7:00 pm – Fan photos on the Crisler court

Note that payers and coaches will not sign autographs during the event.

By generating and analyzing an enormous database of health and genetic information, they can work towards cures and treatments for cancer, diabetes, migraines and more. Michigan Football: Youth Fun Day {05/21/16}

The University of Michigan is offering a FREE Youth Football skills clinic on Saturday, 05/21/16 from 9 am to noon! This offer is open to residents in Washtenaw County who are currently in 2nd through 7th grades. The camp will be held at the Glick Field House, 1200 S. State Street in Ann Arbor.

M Den: Coach Harbaugh to Sign Autographs on Friday

Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh will sign autographs at the M Den on Campus in Ann Arbor on Friday! The event will run from 3-4:30 pm, but will be limited to the first 200 people who secure wristbands earlier in the day. Fans wishing to guarantee themselves a spot in line for the autograph signing must be in line to secure a wristband at the campus M Den at 9 am Friday morning.

Per the M Den, it will be one autograph per wristband. Wristbands will be FREE of charge. The M Den on Campus is located at 303 S. State Street in downtown Ann Arbor.

ESPN College GameDay to Broadcast Live at Crisler Center {01/24/15}

ESPN’s College GameDay will broadcast from the Crisler Center tomorrow, 01/24/15, prior to the matchup between the Wolverines and No. 6 Wisconsin at 7 pm! Here is the timeline of events:

  • Crisler Center will open to the public at 9 am. Tickets are not required for GameDay and parking is FREE!
  • Fans attending are asked to enter the arena through the Northeast and Southwest entrances. All students are asked to enter through the Maize Rage entrance.
  • At 10 am, GameDay will go live with a one-hour broadcast on ESPNU.
  • At 11 am, GameDay’s one-hour live show will be shown on ESPN.
  • An evening edition of GameDay will air at 6 pm, leading up to tip-off between the Wolverines and Badgers.
  • The basketball game will start at 7 pm and air on ESPN. Obviously, tickets are required to attend the game.

University of Michigan’s Homecoming Block Party

The State Street Area Association and Ashley’s are hosting the block party to celebrate UM’s homecoming with the community this Friday in downtown Ann Arbor. The event will take place along North University Street between State and Thayer streets from 3-10 pm Friday, 10/31/14. At Friday’s event, there will be music, entertainment, food and drinks. A DJ will be spinning music on the north side of North University between tents that will be placed in the area between State and Thayer streets. Because the event falls on Halloween, there also will be various child-friendly activities, including jugglers and face painting. State Street Area Association members will also be handing out treats as part of the Halloween festivities from 11 am to 5 pm.

Calling all future {female} computer scientists!

The Computer Science and Engineering Department at the University of Michigan is hosting GirlsEncoded, an event aimed at high school girls to expose them to the fantastic field of computer science! The all-day event will take place on Saturday, November 8th, from 10 am to 5 pm at Stamps Auditorium located at 1226 Murfin Avenue in Ann Arbor. There will be hands-on activities, guest speakers, lab tours, and a student panel. All high school students along with their parents are welcome to attend. There is a registration fee of $5 per participant and lunch will be provided. Space is limited so be sure to sign up early if you want to attend.
