UM Mens Basketball: FREE Selfie Night

The University of Michigan men’s basketball team will host open practice and selfie night on Tuesday, 10/24/17, at Crisler Center. Following the practice session, U-M head coach John Beilein and the Wolverine players will be available for a “Selfie Night” promotion on the concourse level. Coach Beilein, the men’s team and selected women’s players will meet and greet fans and be available for photos and selfies.

All parking surrounding Crisler Center will be free after 5 pm and fans can enter through the northeast entrance of Crisler Center beginning at 5:30 pm. The selfie night schedule is as follows:

Selfie Night Schedule
5:30 pm – Doors open
6:00 pm – Coach Beilein addresses crowd, introduces players
6:10 pm – Practice Begins
6:50 pm – Skills Session
7:00 pm – Selfies with players on the concourse
7:00 pm – Fan photos on the Crisler court
7:45 pm – Event Concludes

Note that payers and coaches will not sign autographs during the event.

Zebras on Main Event Today in Downtown Ann Arbor

Zebras on Main” is a family event taking place today, 06/19/14, from 4-9 pm in downtown Ann Arbor. The event is meant to increase awareness of rare immune and blood based diseases in both children and adults, and raise money to support families and research at the University of Michigan via the Boxer Fund. The event is being held as a sister event to the “Event on Main,” which is taking place at the same time and will benefit the Charles Woodson Research Fund for Pediatric Cancer.

“Zebras on Main” will feature:

  • Educational photos and stories of our patients to raise awareness.
  • A bone marrow donor drive sponsored by Wolverines for Life where guests can register for the National Marrow Donor Program.
  • A zebra-inspired sidewalk chalk art created by renowned artist David Zinn
  • Fun events like bubble blowing, balloons, face painting and much more!

FREE Event at Independence Lake Today!

Just a friendly reminder…

Independence Lake County Park is hosting a Community Safety Day today from 10a-12p. Families are invited to a fun day while meeting local safety representatives from the community. Participating organizations include Washtenaw County Police Department, Dexter Area Fire Department, Huron Valley Ambulance, and the Red Cross. Activities are geared toward ages 5 through 11. Kids can explore emergency vehicles, play games, and speak with trained professionals! After participating in the event, you will be treated to a FREE day in their new spray play facility, Blue Heron Bay!
