Detroit Metro Parent is hosting a FREE Camp Expo featuring 40 camps in Southeast Michigan on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Michigan Science Center from noon to 3:30 pm. At the Expo, you’ll have the change to meet face-to-face with camp directors from a variety of different camps and summer programs for kids of all ages – preschoolers through teens. Take your kids for hands on fun courtesy of the exhibiting camps and then enjoy a FREE day of exploration at the Michigan Science Center! Register to attend Camp Expo AND attend the event and you could win $500 toward summer tuition at the exhibiting camp of your choice.
I’ve attended the Camp Expo many times in the past and honestly one of the best parts is getting into the hosting venue for FREE! It’s been at the Detroit Institute of Art (DIA) in the past as well as the Cranbrook Institute of Arts. We’re really excited to get to chance to explore the Michigan Science Center for FREE after the Expo as admission is usually $13 for adults and $10 for children (ages 2-12). The Michigan Science Center is located at 5020 John R St. in Detroit.
